Sequences from the first Slovak movie “Jánošík“(1921) are painted on the surface of the painting in the manner that the composition of the frames is comformed to the textual subtitles of the silent movie. It causes the superposition of the images. Animation made from the painted frames ironizes the pathos of the original movie.
